Scarab Consulting Announces Austin Center of Excellence

Austin, Texas – April 7, 2010 – Scarab Consulting, a premier provider of litigation support and electronic discovery services for law firms and corporations, announced today the establishment of its first Center of Excellence in Austin, Texas. The enhanced facility includes significant investments in technology infrastructure and operational improvements to upgrade its nationwide delivery of electronic data discovery (EDD) services.

“With the establishment of our Austin-based Center of Excellence, we’re underscoring our commitment to provide superior performance to our clients nationwide,” said Ken Naumann, CEO of Scarab Consulting. “We have made significant investments in hardware and software to increase operational capacity and efficiency and we expect to expand on the personnel side as we continue to grow.”

Scarab’s new Center of Excellence includes infrastructure investments that allow a 15 percent greater throughput in a secure processing environment. An expanded server room supports 80 terabytes of active server space for hosting client data - more than double the size of its previous room. The Center also boasts multi-level security enhancements including restricted keycard and biometric access. Additional upgrades include new processing workstations, dual monitors for QC Techs and additional SQL 2008 Servers. When these investments are combined with Scarab’s proprietary Inside Track internal project management software, the company can now deliver quality enhancements such as a greater project bandwidth and improved project invoicing..

The company achieved certification as a European Union Safe Harbor in 2009 and is now in the process of obtaining ISO 27001 compliance.
